Enter the specs-to-price ratio aspect of smartphones, more and more users see the practical value in a smartphone that offers higher specs on lower prices. That is why there’s an increasing appeal to brands such as Xiaomi and Honor which provide flagship level specs at more affordable prices.
Luckily for Android users, the time is near when they might be able to get their hands on the forecasted midrange killer in the smartphone world.

Recently, the Chinese electronics company Xiaomi rapidly rose as the world’s currently fourth largest smartphone company ever since they released their first device in 2011, gained traction from the Chinese market, and diversified towards a wider range of consumer electronics.
The Xiaomi Redmi Note 7 sports a 48 megapixel (MP) primary rear camera with a f/1.8 aperture, while the secondary camera comes with a 5 MP sensor for that bokeh effect that’s trending nowadays. It’s also equipped with phase detection autofocus that lessens blurry photos, HDR mode, and a dual-LED flash. The Note 7 can also shoot videos in 1080p resolution up to 120fps with the aid of electronic image stabilization. The front or “selfie” camera, on the other hand, is a 13-megapixel shooter with HDR capabilities and can shoot videos at 1080p resolution in 30fps.
Another feature is a fingerprint sensor, which is mounted at the rear and the Note 7 comes with all the necessary sensors one can find in flagship devices. The smartphone also boasts Quick Charge 4 for its beefy 4000 milliampere (mAh) battery.
The Redmi Note 7 will come in three RAM variants — 3GB RAM, 4GB RAM, and 6GB powered by a 2.2GHz Snapdragon 660 octa-core SoC working with a Adreno 512 GPU making gaming a breeze. Meanwhile, the screen boasts a 6.3-inch full-HD+ LTPS display with a screen resolution of 1080×2340 pixels and aspect ratio of 19.5:9 protected with Corning Gorilla Glass 5.
Also, when it comes to smartphone specs, the Redmi Note 7 is definitely a contender. Although it has already been endorsed in China, its pricing and availability in the Philippines is yet to arrive.
This is sure to be a worthy device that Filipinos should watch out for.
