Target spotted. Alain Roberts, also dubbed as the French spiderman, picked GT Towers along Ayala Avenue in Makati as his next “project”, January 29.

Roberts was walking with his lawyer before he chose to climb up the 217-meter tall building.
The stunt lasted for around an hour and a half, which started at around 11 in the morning.
On his way down, the police welcomed him with the hopes of pressing charges for trespassing or public disturbance. Roberts is currently detained at the city’s regular detention center.
When asked about his reason for doing the dangerous stunt, he said it was to make people happy.
“I see thousands of people inside the building. I did brighten their day. They will remember that their whole life.”
According to CNN, Roberts has been arrested for around 120 times for similar stunts since he started climbing skyscrapers 20 years ago. He hopes to climb 200 buildings before “retiring.”
