We all know that this coming mid-term election, former and incumbent candidates will battle it out once again for their seats. Controversies swirling around each political personality and their platforms must be everyone’s basis before they vote.
If you’re willing to take the risk on choosing the right leader, doing background checks as well as reviewing their track records will help you. Having been linked to intriguing issues and scandals can be your foundation as a voter to start investigating the candidates to learn more and be smart before you shade their names on your voting ballot.

The country’s number one subject when the election period comes is the word “change.” We’re still looking for change but no one can replace it with “action” to face the nation’s dilemmas. We are cemented to the traditional “popularity vote” where we are electing those “immortal lawmakers” who can’t even make a law that can raise our standard.
Another example of a candidate is like a “meme machine” where he/she keeps creating videos saying that he/she can make the nation great again. We can call those candidates as “premature campaigners” that even a year before the election, they’ve already set their “synthetic principles” for the Filipinos.
Candidates coming from “luxurious jails” after stealing a huge amount of money from the country’s funds and facing a walloping number of cases are still running for a seat. If you’re smart and truly love your fellow countrymen, you will not vote those “theft kings” for the good of your children.

This 2019 elections, we must be wise enough to not let those power-abusers and crooked politicians reclaim their seats. It’s high time to pay attention to what they’ve done for the nation and to start seeing the bigger picture–if their plans and principles are really aligned with the change the public really yearns for. Read every news about them, review their track records, and re-evaluate their programs. After all, quick research will not harm you.
