Avisala Eshma! The original sang’gres from the GMA-7 fantasy series, Encantadia, reunites for another fantasy project that will surely melt our hearts!
Dubbed as 2019’s biggest and grandest reunion project, online movie, Mystified, stars Kapuso Network’s original Encantadia sang’gres, Iza Calzado, Sunshine Dizon, Karylle, and Diana Zubiri. The movie trailer has finally been released last month, January 19th.
iFlix, cast, and crew members of the film couldn’t contain their excitement so they have been posting pictures on Instagram causing their loyal fans, who have been waiting for the ladies to be reunited once again, to be awoken from their deep slumber waiting for the comeback for 13 years now.
In an interview, Sunshine Dizon shared that the original Encantadia series is iFlix Philippines’ “number one Pinoy series,” that is why the subscription video on demand service, in partnership with the four original sang’gres’ production company, Sang’gre Productions, decided to do this project.
Mystified follows the story of four witch friends (Adela, Althea, Kathalina, and Helena) who have been sent to the real world and tasked with protecting a magic portal. But there is a twist: they aren’t allowed to use their mystical powers and abilities! They join forces to fight evil that’s bound to destroy all of mankind. Most of the scenes from Mystified were shot in the beautiful provinces of Bulacan, Batangas, and Bataan.

We are looking forward to the fight scenes as our favorite feisty females battle the forces of evil. Our favorite so far is a line from Sang’gre Iza: “You mean witch, b*tch!”
Let’s get to know the four witches:
Diana Zubiri as Kathalina, she’s a perfectionist and levelheaded events specialist. Karylle as Helena, she’s a social media vlogger and influencer, modern thinker, pacifist, and mediator. Sunshine Dizon as Althea, she’s a pediatrician, healer, and traditionalist. And lastly, Iza Calzado as Adela, she’s a teacher, guidance counselor, hopeless romantic, and eternal optimist.
The film is directed by Mark Reyes, who also directed the original Encantadia series alongside Gil Tejada Jr. back in 2005, and will be out this March exclusively on iFlix Philippines, for free!
