In posting campaign materials anywhere illegally, Commission on Election (Comelec) walls are not excepted.
Comelec spokesperson James Jimenez roared on one of the candidates in Quezon City after seeing the candidate’s face in posters attached beside his gate.
The poster wears the name of Abe Abesamis, who is running for 1st District councilor of Quezon City.
The election official mentioned Abesamis for not complying links for his social media pages to the Comelec.
“I wasn’t asked and I never gave consent for your propaganda material to be posted on my property. Take this down, buddy,” Jimenez said in his tweet.
Consecutively, the Comelec informed candidates that one of the requirements are they should submit the links of their social media profiles in preparation for the upcoming midterm polls.
“This rules will help us to track their online campaign expenses,” Jimenez stated in a previous interview with CNN Philippines.
