“WHOgpong?”: Get to know the Hugpong ng Pagbabago senatorial slate

By: Jeremiah Monreal

Call them the President’s paladins for the 2019 Midterm Elections.

The Hugpong ng Pagbabago senatorial slate introduced to us by Presidential daughter and Davao City Mayor Sara “Inday” Duterte is a “voguish-like party.” From a plunderer, to former senators and the newbies who would like to have a seat in the Senate is likely favored by millions of Filipino voters, but why?

If you’re not a supporter of the “dilawans,” you’re either a neutral and smart voter or you’re a “Dutertard” who favor the administration’s fatuous leadership. Many discourteous Filipinos still choose the “controversy-plagued” candidates because of their decade popularity all over the Philippine elections. We can call them “illiterate” because they just all want to push those corrupt politicians again and again.

But here’s the “dream senatorial slate” of the pro-administration club.

You got FM’s daughter and Ilocos Norte Governor Imee Marcos who proclaimed herself as a graduate from the University of the Philippines, you also got former broadcast journalist Jiggy Manicad, son of former senator and the late Ed Angara, Sen. Sonny Angara, Alan’s beloved sister Sen. Pia Cayetano, self-proclaimed “Mr. HealthCare” Sen. JV Ejercito, “Use your Kokote Man” Sen. Koko Pimentel, “Mrs. Hanep-buhay” Sen. Cynthia Villar, former MMDA Chairman Francis “TOL” Tolentino, suicidal plunderers and former senators Bong Revilla and Jinggoy Estrada, Maguindanao 2nd District Rep. Zajid “Dong” Mangudadatu, “Itaga mo sa Bato” Ronald Dela Rosa, and former Special Assistant to the President “Mabisyo” Bong Go. Before shading their names on your ballots on May 13, 2019, please check their backgrounds, read articles about their educational attainments and political goals and if you have love for the country, don’t vote the “fat alligators.”
