Energizer launches its own smartphone

In today’s fast-paced and digital-oriented world, connectivity is the key for relevance and survival. Having a smartphone is a necessity to do so. Undeniably, one of the problems we are facing is the battery life of our friendly, handy gadget.
We have already looked at smartphones pioneering on particular qualities of screen size, new form factors, and cameras. But Energizer, a battery company is taking the smartphone war in a new battlefield, Battery Life.

Energizer introduces new Power Max P18K Po, which according to Energizer can be used to make up to 90 hours of calls, listen to 100 hours of music, or watch 2 days of video on a single charge. Standby time is quoted as being 50 days. Fully recharging via the supplied 18W adaptor which takes 9 hours.

Screen: 6.2-inch IPS screen with 1080 x 2280 pixels – no notch or cut-out
Processing: Mediatek Helio P70 with OctaCore CPU and Mali-G72 GPU
Memory: 6GB RAM, 128GB sorage plus microSD up to 128GB (uses SIM slot 2)
Cameras: Main: 12MP, 5MP, 2MP depth sensor pop-up, dual-LED flash. Selfie: 16MP, 2MP depth sensor
Comms: 5G, 4G, 3G, 2G hybrid dual-SIM, dual-band Wi-Fi, BT 5.0, FM radio
Battery: Non-removable Li-Po 18,000mAh with 18W fast charging, USB Power Delivery 2.0, reverse charging option, USB Type-C connector
OS: Android 9.0

To put that into perspective, whereas you might have a hard time to get half a day out of your average smartphone, the Energizer Power Max P18K Pop can seemingly give users an entire week – or up to 48 hours of nonstop video playback.
In a market where size really does matter, the dark blue lump measures a massive 18mm in thickness, which is about the size of three-and-a-half iPhones – more reminiscent of the iPod Classic.
But it’s not just about the battery life – boasting three cameras, a 6.2-inch LCD display, and 6GB of RAM, early reviews have claimed it’s a pretty nifty piece of kit.
You’ll also be pleased to know that it has ‘fast charging’ and is up and ready to go again after just eight hours, which may not really appear that fast but with a battery this size, it’s justly swift.
As you’d expect, the design has certainly got people talking and it’s easy to say that most are pretty damn excited.
