Some parts of Metro Manila are suffering from a water interruption due to critically low level of water in LA Mesa Dam. Almost 200 barangays from Metro Manila are disturbed by water interruption since March 7.
In an article in ABS-CNB News Manila Water stated that there are around 52,000 households are relying on their water service but currently don’t have a water supply in their faucets.
In these past few days, we are suffering an intensive heat index due to aggravating El Nino. However, the Manila Water clearly stated that the intensive heat of the day is not the one whom we must blame.
Meanwhile, the Congress said they will investigate the current water crisis that affects thousands of residents along Metro Manila and some parts of Rizal. Senate President believes that the water interruption could be minimized or even prevented if the agencies are acting promptly.
Either the negligence of the agency or because of the extreme heat due to El Nino, we, the residence must also do our part in conserving the water in our faucets. Store more water as much as you can in order to be ready when the water in your basins are running out of water
