Effects of a Stick

Cigarette smoking is one of the largest causes of disease. It mainly attacks the lungs, directly. It contains more than 7, 000 chemicals. It is made up tabacco leaves, dried and rolled up for sipping. Philippines manufacture cigarettes and sell at the market with age restriction prohibiting minors to buy at stores. But then, there is no 100% confidence that cigarettes aren’t selling at minors.`

There are 17.3 million of Filipinos who are indulged in smoking. 48% of this was male and 9% are of them are females. According to a 2009 survey conducted under the auspices of the Philippines’ Department of Health, Philippine Statistics Authority, the World Health Organization, and the United States Centers for Disease Control and Prevention,  28.3 percent of the population are “current tobacco smokers”. This figure represents 17.3 million of 61.3 million adult Filipinos.

Cigarette smoking has been an addiction for Filipinos. It is deadly for a person’s health especially for teenagers because of their maturing organs. Now, on the modern age, cigarette smoking on teenagers have been popular that there are cases of young person aging from 12-14 seen smoking cigarettes. It is one of the proofs why age restriction for cigarettes don’t proven assurance.
