Yellow and red, two-faced, theatre actor politicians, all-smiles and people’s person for a certain period of time. There are lots of things to consider before filling in the circle beside a certain name.
Most of them only wanted to win.
Social media is a huge part of today’s generation. Facebook alone reaches a wide and diversed set of users from all over the world. Number of things evolve around this modern platform that provides us a greater life— including propagandists.
Propaganda, is information, especially of a biased or misleading nature, used to promote or publicize a particular political cause or point of view. This includes the spread of fake news that you mostly see on your feed.
Dropping stain on an already stained piece of cloth, just a metaphor for a politician dragging down another of the same smell. Classic filipino trait.
Common internet propaganda you will see is the qouted speech with a picture of a politician in it. Some propagandists are really tricky on qouting the edgy part of a someone’s statement to move it on the center of attraction and half percent of the time theh succeed when it gets viral.
But, they are fake news. No one said that certain speech. It was all made up. Yet, a name was being criticized for saying threaded words such that. Once a few internet dependant people start to spread the fake news, you will reach it and you will believe that it is true without checking it. And boom, you just got fooled.
Being bandwagon nowadays is extra and some people really need to be just that without thinking that they contributed to feeding the worms in the internet world. Propagandists used this to earn money from their bosses and sure as hell behind their keyboards they can buy a house.
So, what should we do? Check the page where a news came from. Especially when it is a political news, or a qouted speech from a certain person. No one should rely on informal pages and legitimate news sites are only those who are credible for real news.
When you see that it’s fake, don’t wait for someone to spread it like a fire into someone else’s newsfeed and instantly report the page. This election season some candidates are doing everything they can to sit on that seat they never deserved and no one should let satan enter the palace of the leaders.
