Filipinos abroad were watching and talking about #Debate2019: The GMA Senatorial Face-Off, according to data provided by Twitter.
A trend map showed that the event was talked about all over the world including Southeast Asia, Europe, and the Middle East.
As the debate heated up when candidates talked about polarizing topics in the second round, online chatter peaked in places as far as the United States east coast.
The hashtag #Debate2019 also topped worldwide Twitter trends.
Oplan Tokhang, federalism, and term limits were among the most-talked about keywords.
